Registered Nurse

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a committed RGN, RMN or RNLD to join a team at a Care Home that is based in the Livingston area.

The special Care team provides nursing care for those who have complex medical needs and for people living with dementia. They also provide respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break.

As a Nurse your day to day duties include:
• Ensure the highest possible standards of care, assessing residents' needs and wishes, and developing services to enhance their quality of life.
• Champion appropriate independence and personal choice; developing, reviewing and updating care plans to meet our residents physical and social needs.
• Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift – ensuring medicines are appropriately received, stored and administered, in accordance with company policies and current legislation.
• Ensure all elements of resident experience are positive, from admission to discharge.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines – identify, investigate and resolve risks proactively.
• Ensure you follow a rigorous monitoring and recording practice; documenting efficiently, and thoroughly all matters relating to residents and employees

An ideal Nurse must be a confident, hardworking individual and must have the following skills and knowledge as they are beneficial for this role:
• To ensure the promotion of high standards of nursing care, by ensuring all staff is supervised appropriately and the shift runs in a smooth and efficient manner.
• You will perform all general nursing duties, following CQC and NMC guidelines, and report to the home manager, update care plans and administer safe medication.
• You will provide a high standard of care and work within a team as well as on your own initiative.
• You will be dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home.
• You must have excellent communication and written skills and have previous experience working within a nursing home or elderly care setting.

To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Nurse either RGN, RMN or RNLD
