Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist
An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional hospital based in the East Riding of Yorkshire area. As a Psychiatrist you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This is a registered independent hospital rated as Outstanding by the CQC, supporting males with severe and enduring mental health conditions, Learning Disabilities, those who could be on the Autistic Spectrum and those who may have complex presentations with behaviours that challenge.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist your day to day duties include:
• Ensuring that each patient has a full physical health screen upon admission including physical examination, ECG and bloods.
• Responsible for patient treatment plans, whilst liaising with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Screening and assessing referrals.
• Reviewing mental state examination of service users, appropriate investigation / diagnosis and treatment, participation in ward rounds.
• Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management and embed clinical governance within the hospital.
• Responsible for the supervision of reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and managers' hearings and attend hearings whenever possible.
• Completing discharge letters and reports as required.
• Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching.
An ideal Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
• Experience with learning disability and autistic spectrum disorder conditions would be an advantage
• Will be the Responsible Clinician for this patient group
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Team Player
• Able to show a can-do attitude always
The successful Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist will receive an excellent annual salary from £84,000 - £96,000 per annum. This exciting position is a Part Time role working 22.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
