Our clinic offers 1-1 counselling across the following areas:
-> General counselling for a range of difficulties including: depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship problems, bereavement, loss
-> Counselling for domestic violence.
The clinic is based within York St. John University and offers high quality, low cost counselling services to citizens of York and North Yorkshire. (Please note we CANNOT accept students and staff of YSJ University).
The counselling clinic currently runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings, from 6.00pm to 9.30pm. We offer a free initial assessment session, after which our counselling sessions are offered based on a sliding scale dependent upon clients' income.
Our lead counsellors are qualified and experienced practitioners. We also have trainee practitioners working in the clinic. All our practitioners work from a client-focussed approach to counselling and mental health. Where we offer other mental health and wellbeing services, all of them are provided by trained professionals.
