The Aldwark Arms
When in North Yorkshire, be sure to seek out the lovely village of Aldwick and its namesake pub-restaurant The Aldwark Arms. This charming family owned venue is precisely what a village pub should be - quaint but sophisticated, cosy but special, homely but a break from the norm. Decorated with great care and attention to detail, The Aldwark Arms could only be described as country-casual, earth tones used to great effect, Chesterfield settees providing a comfy place to park and, of course, roaring fires for those post-country walk warm ups with pints and pies. In the bar, enjoy hand pulled lagers and ales, a great selection of wines and simple, delicious bar food based entirely on Yorkshire grown and bred produce. The more formal restaurant provides the ideal atmosphere in which to enjoy a well thought out British a la carte menu, dishes prepared freshly every day using locally sourced ingredients. While the a la carte menu changes monthly the Aldwark Arms daily specials blackboard provides a further touch of seasonality.
